70人? 72人?
はじめに
イエスは十二人の弟子たちに力と権威を授け、神の国を宣べ伝え、病気を直すために、彼らを使わされた。(ルカ9:1-2) そしてその後、口語訳新約聖書(1954年版)のルカの福音書10:1に次のようにある。
10:1その後、主は別に七十二人を選び、行こうとしておられたすべての町や村へ、ふたりずつ先におつかわしになった。
10:17七十二人が喜んで帰ってきて言った、「主よ、あなたの名によっていたしますと、悪霊までがわたしたちに服従します」。
新改訳聖書(1970年版) のルカの福音書10:1では次のようになっている。
10:1その後、主は、別に七十人を定め、ご自分が行くつもりのすべての町や村へ、ふたりずつ先にお遣わしになった。
10:17さて、七十人が喜んで帰って来て、こう言った。「主よ。あなたの御名を使うと、悪霊どもでさえ、私たちに服従します。」
(脚注に異本「七十二人」とある。)
NESTLE-ALAND 第28版 ギリシャ語本文のルカの福音書は次のように、ἑβδομήκοντα [δύο]となっており、70か72か判定できない。
10:1 Μετὰ δὲ ταῦτα ἀνέδειξεν ὁ κύριος ἑτέρους ἑβδομήκοντα [δύο] καὶ ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς ἀνὰ δύο [δύο] πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ εἰς πᾶσαν πόλιν καὶ τόπον οὗ ἤμελλεν αὐτὸς ἔρχεσθαι.
10:17 Ὑπέστρεψαν δὲ οἱ ἑβδομήκοντα [δύο] μετὰ χαρᾶς λέγοντες· κύριε, καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια ὑποτάσσεται ἡμῖν ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί σου.
七十二人と七十人の違いは、イエスの教えに何も影響するものではなすが、面白半分に調べてみた。
